Suspension of Mass with a public congregation

Due to the new public health orders, Mass with a public congregation is being suspended in the Archdiocese of Vancouver beginning on Nov. 20, 2020, until further notice.

It is important to stay spiritually healthy during the pandemic. Here are our activities at SJA during the pandemic: 

  • Confession on Saturday from 11 am to noon in the church basement or by appointment. To make an appointment, please contact Father Anthony at [email protected] or 604-729-7638 (call or text)

  • Parish church and grotto are opened for private prayer Monday to Friday from 8 am to 7 pm. Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm. Sunday from 12 noon to 7 pm. 

  • Online Catechism classes for adults (RCIA) in English on Wednesday from 7 pm to 8 pm, in Cantonese on Saturday from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and in Mandarin on Thursday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Online Catechism classes for children (PREP) on Tuesday from 4:15 pm to 5 pm  Please contact Father Anthony ([email protected]) to sign up. 

  • Father Anthony’s prayer groups are meeting online in English on Monday from 7 pm to 8:45 pm, and in Cantonese on Sunday from 7:15 pm to 9 pm (Night Prayer, Rosary, Bible Study, and Chaplet of Divine Mercy). Please contact Father Anthony ([email protected]) to sign up.   

  • JP2 Circle----youth & young adults group----meets online via Zoom on the First Wednesday of the month from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm (Rosary, Devotion to St. Joseph, learn about young saints, and discussion). Please contact Father Anthony ([email protected]) to sign up. 

  • Parishioners are encouraged to access online Catholic resources while staying at home at Formed.Org. Access Code for SJA Parishioners is: TWNH4F
